Iport Connect Problems

Has anyone came across problem with iport info "playlists,artist,song" coming up with the system. I am using a 8400 with a connection rester button but sometimes it will connect and sometimes it wont. Cables are fine and it happens on all 3 iports in house. The ipod does show connected when docked with a check mark at all times. Any suggestions??
