device display lift RS-232 code

Hello All
Has anyone used a lift from device display? I have a the RS-232 interface box but it doesn't want to respond to any thing I'm sending it. If I'm reading the code right the baud is 9600,n,1,1.
'A' - stop
'B' - down
'C' - up

I haven't - but it sounds pretty neat. The lifts we use are just relay controlled. Do you have a link for that?

Did you try sending $0D after the command?

www.displaydevices.com for the lifts. No, I didn't send $0D at the end, nothing in the manual was mentioned about it and I just started to troubleshoot them earlier.( spent the rest of the time troubleshoot the rest of the install) I'll try that on Monday.

The one I worked with a few years back was 9600 8N1, and just used the single characters like you have it. No $0D or any other delimiter.

Sounds like you are doing it right. Check RS-232 cabling. Commands are single ASCII UPPERCASE characters. I've done several of these, often I put them on IP converters to control over the network without taking up another serial port.
