I figured there is a thread or two focusing on the negatives (and I do hope the glaring mistakes are fixed in short order) so I wanted to balance the scales out a bit and give feedback on the positives. It?s only fair, right?
Very cool. Thanks!NS2.7 Readme wrote:FEATURE - Added a "Clear Notification Status Window" and "Clear Diagnostic Status Window" buttons to the Emulate and Control dialogs.
Nice shortcut.NS2.7 Readme wrote:FEATURE - Ability to toggle the "Diagnostic" and "Notification" messages streams by clicking on the icons within the Status Bar.
I think that should read new feature or bug fix but whatever the case it sure is great to be able to run notifications with multiple instances of NS2.NS2.7 Readme wrote:BUG ? Now have the ability to run instances of the Diagnostics and Notifications messages with multiple instances of NS2 running.
I think that should read bug fix also. I don?t know about others but I?m thrilled to have time and date stamps back again without having it muck up the code folding after every save.NS2.7 Readme wrote:BUG - Erratic cursor movement has been corrected when saving a file and having the date/time stamp section updated within the source code file.

The reason people started a thread about the bad things of NS2.7 is because you can't fix 4 bugs and introduce 2 new ones, that's just silly.
If they repair the 2 major bugs (not able to open new instance and search and replace) i'm very happy with NS2.7. For now i'm sticking with NS2.6...
Okay, last jab at NS 2.7 (I think . . . I'll try!) I do agree with you that there are some good things about NS 2.7; trust me, I was eating up the fact that I could run diagnostics and notifications in two different instances of the application. I'm with you on this - I give AMX a thumbs up and a cookie whenever they do something good, because they do work hard. I know they do. And I understand they're not perfect and I don't really expect them to be.
Thanks Joe! Keep us updated!
