5200i and IR Transmitter

Hi at all!
But Can I transmit IR code from 5200? In the tech doc there are two IR Port but I can't use it. Why?

    Those won't be active until the official GA firmware release for these panels (45-90 days). Since 45-90 days will probably turn into 6 months to a year you might want a Universal Remote.

    I tried to put the IR transmitter to work ... but when I press nothing happens and on the third touch the MVP-5200i stoped to work and I had to take the battery out ....

    So, I used to use it on MVP-8400 and it works regular, anyone can help me?

    Unfortunately you have to wait for the GA firmware which may enable the IR capabilites. The firmware was supposed to be released 90 days after the the units first shipped.

    There's a release notice posted ealier in this thread which explains it.

    I believe this is out now. As a mater in fact I am more interested in the so named new feature: "Improvements on wireless rate negotiation has increased wireless range and stability"
