MVP7500 power issues?

Hi guys,

I have an MVP7500 with one brand new battery (only one in there). I can charge it just fine, and the battery works great. However, if I leave it off the charger, just hanging out, it will go to sleep fine, but at some point it turns back on (with only a blank screen) and kills the battery. Is this how it's supposed to be? I can't just leave it out and wake it up when I want, it will only last an hour to two before the battery kills itself and I have to charge it again. Does that make sense?

    with a blank screen, do you mean a white screen? We have seen this once or twice, but since the new firmware i think it's been gone...

    Nope, screen is black, but you can tell the backlight is on...

    Running the newest firmware as well.
