MVP5200i and WEP encryption

Hi all,
trying my 5200i panel to connect to an encrypted wireless network - through a WAP250G AP with the specific WEP128 Key as 01000000000000000000000000 - it cannot do that although it has an excellent wireless strength and quality signal as shown on its wireless setup menu.
If I change this encryption with a more complicated WEP key like 11112222333344445555666677, it works!!!
Has anyone of you ever faced any problem with the 5200i connectivity on an encryptred wireless network?
Can you check your panels with my WEP128 key - 01000............?
I have checked this both with an old and a new firmware loaded in many panels.
