NS2 terminal COM port settings

Hi,
Like many folks, I have a laptop with no native RS232 ports on it, so I occasionally use a USB/232 adapter. When such adapters are installed, they are often assigned high "COM" port numbers.
I just installed my adapter and it was given COM18, but the only port I get listed in NS2 is COM3 (see attached image). I know that my COM18 adapter cable is working OK, since I can connect with Hyperterminal OK.
Not life or death, but any hints/tips greatly appreciated because I'd like to access COM18 from within the NS2 terminal if possible.
Thanks,
Tom

This can be done in Device Manager > Your Com Port Device > Properties, just reset it to say com4 (you may get errors saying this is already in use - generally this will be because another com device was installed on that port number historically - providing you're not using both together you should be ok)
Avoid Com 3 as this will be the built-in Fax Modem port.
I'm familiar with the device manager and reassigning COM ports, but these days I think that any application should be able to address any available COM port - especially an application like NS2! I have a number of other applications which don't have a problem with it.
Perhaps I should join the beta testers and put it on a wish-list for a future release.
Best regards,
Tom
