Dreambox module?

Does anyone know is there something for Dreambox control, except IR? Has someone experience with that?

Are you talking about Dreambox the satellite receiver that uses Linux operating system.

If you are. I would be interested as well. I had trouble capturing the IR commands, would you have them?

The Dreambox IR is ugly! We had to send the remote to AMX, and they had captured it. AFAIK there were hardware modifications necessary on the IRIS.

The IRL file can be downloaded from InConcert at the AMX homepage.

Ok, thanks Marc. I will go and get it from there then. I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't capture it.

I will keep my eyes open in case some of the software groups will come up with another type of control for the unit.

Thanks for news. Yes, I can confirm that it is not possible to capture Dreambox IR with IRIS. AMX advised us it might be high-frequency codes that require more special equipment than IRIS.

Regarding another type of control can someone share his ideas what it might be? We are looking for IP based module...

As you probably know. There are several groups that make free software for dreambox. Mainly they are for hacking encrypted satellite channels open. But there are many for streaming video, audio, channel configuration and much much more.

You can control Dreambox with your web browser as well, so hopefully someone would make anIP based Dreambox module sometime soon.

Since ******** got an IP module for dreambox 7000 then we just ve to convert it to AMX format to make it work
