Polycom HDX 9002 does not return string

I am trying to get a Polycom HDX 9002 and an AMX NI-3100 to communicate using RS-232. If I send a command from the touchpanel, the Polycom unit executes the command correctly, but does not return a string value to the AMX Controller. I have initiated "all register", but I do not get a return string. Any ideas?

    Make sure no pins are connected other than the ones you are using for RS232 control.
