RS232-controlled volume control (inexpensive, reliable)

Is there a box similar to the AXB-VOL3 that is controlled via RS232? I can't get AXLink to a number of locations that I would like to have some volume control in. I only need 1 channel. The caveat is that is has to do more than just vol up / down (the projector can already do that). I need to be able to set a specific volume level.

Thanks!

Extron has a line of small audio switchers that do volume control as well. I'm sure other people will come up with some but those are the only ones that I know about.

The MLS100A is the one I have used in the past. Protocol is real easy too.
