Anyone Used ^RFR??

Grettings,

Has anyone used ^RFR? It is supposed to refresh a dynamic image.

I am expecting this to dump all of the images and relaod again, but there is no change on the panel, even when I know that there are updated images available.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

I too would like to see how people are using this. I've tried several times and never got it to work as advertised.

I'll go as far as to say I've included it in a program ... but I wouldn't go as far as to say it did what i expected. I noticed no difference; couldn't tell if the panel settings on the dynamic image overrode it or if something else was going on. But I think default G4 behavior is to leave the old image up if anything goes wrong with a refresh. I've seen it many times with network cameras where the client was staring at 2-day old picture until I rebooted the panel, and all the programmed refreshes did nada. It's one of those things I just kept my fingers crossed would correct itself with a future firmware update.

I used it several frimwares ago and it worked great, but after updating the Modero panel firmware it stopped working and I never used it again. I reported it to tech support and haven't heard or read anything about it being fixed. The only panel I remember specifically was a NXD-CV5, I ended rolling the firmware back on a particular project to make it work.

If you can, I would try it on another panel.
