Netlinx Studio, corrupted workspace file?!

recently my netlinx studio have problems appear , no matter version 2 or 3, once i created a new workspace file and close the netlinx studio, then when re-open the file, the studio always say "fail to read the file" it furstrated me since i had alraedy re-installed it and turn off the antivirus while install, the problem still there.

when i open my old workspaces file they can be opened, but again , once i saved it, it can't be re-open again. i had 2 computers and all of them having the same issues.

anyone please help me for this matter ?~~~~ thank a lot and a lot

    Where are you storing your files? Are you moving those files after you've created them? I first create a project folder and then within that folder create sub directorie for modules, includes, user interfaces, graphics, etc... Others keep things in master directories.

    Once, and only once, I had NS3 lose the folder hierarchy on a project. Even after manually editing the file properties, it could not find the resultant module files. I had to move them to the project directory. I thought it was an NS3 bug, and I reported it as such.

    But I haven't seen it happen with any other project since, so I am beginning to doubt that evaluation. It's entirely plausible, in retrospect, that the project file itself was corrupted. Moving everything fixed it for that project, though I think in the future I will rather rebuild the project from scratch and see if that does it.

    the netlinx on my computer(s) is acting strange tho. the action i tested is just create a new workspace file then i close Netlinx then i open the file again, it can't open.

    i formamted my computer but the problem still there

    i used to edit my files on usb drive so i can carry around like HK Macau and China. but now seems it cause the problems:

    on Vista, i can't open a newly saved workspace file when the file is on usb drive, HOWEVER after i put it on desktop it can be open again, HA!

    on XP, i can't open a newly saved workspace file when the file is on usb drive OR desktop, HOWEVER after i put it under C:/ or other folder in C:/ , it can be open again , HAHA!!

    this is really funny, i don't know what would be the problems but this actually make me frustrated, because i need to drag all the file from my usb drive to local computer for editing. everytime i change computer !!! Geez......

    Oh... i know now!!!!!!

    it is because the Folder's name, i used chinese as the folder name and it actually cause netlinx can't read. i think it is just a unicode problem. could AMX Fix this? some how support the unicode

    Interesting, The project I had trouble with also involved different folder names.
