Keypad Entry from TP question

I am using the built-in keypad on my cv7, and I have the keypad displaying the following text:

ENTER TIME

Is there a way to auto-clear the data entry field instead of having to click "Clear" on the Right?

Not that I'm aware if you're using the built-in keypad. If you did your own, that's a different stroy.
  • If I did my own...You are referring to creating a keypad (i.e. TP popup) with a variable text field?

    Yup, it's simple.

Yes, you can build your own key pad, assign button numbers to the buttons you put on it, and program it anyway you want to. If you are building yourself a page to operate a telephone dialer or something, you'll probably want to do this for the control that it gives you and for the ability to make the TP look the way you want it to.

If you want to use the built in keypad, however, there are at least a couple ways to do it. One way is to assign the appropriate setup port button number to the button that will bring up the keypad when pressed. It looks to me as if setup button #75 will bring up a keypad with no pre-entered text in the field.

Also, you can cause your program to bring up a keypad with any preselected string that you desire. Look in the manual for your touchpanel on how to use "AKEYP" and "@AKP" and the corresponding commands to kill the keypads.
