Intercom Design Questions

Greetings...I have a customer planning to install an M&S intercom. We are trying to clean up some serious wall clutter in the master bedroom and are looking at a CV7 or a smaller TP3 device. Has anyone connected a touch panel to a fixed intercom system like this? M&S uses cat5 to their room stations, but the have a door interface that looks like mic/speaker.

Any other ideas are appreciated...
