On a much lighter note...

I thought I'd mix things up for a while and completely reversed my NS color scheme.

My previous scheme was basically colorful letters on a mildly greay-white background.

I switched over to the more traditional hacker black backgournd with terminal window look.

I think I'll run this for a while and see if I like it better.

I'm kind of a rebel that way. Don't try to stop me. I'll only drag you down with me.

I'm thinking about going ultra green. (Think energy savings, not color :) ). I am going to go black text on black background with all black highlights and window features. This should greatly reduce the power consumption of my monitor since the pixels will be mainly off. It might make it a little more difficult to program, but we all have to make sacrifices if we want to save this planet!

I just thought of something... depending on your perspective, the title of your original post may be construed as wrong. If you are going from a white background to a black background, wouldn't that be: "On a Much Darker Note..."?

I suppose you could argue that the text has gotten lighter, but the background is the majority of the composition of the screen. Even though the title suggests unimportance, I feel that the impact of the background is more visually important than the foreground even if the intellectual importance lies in the foreground.

I hereby take issue with my intentional misinterpretation of your original title! I will be filing an informal and unofficial compliant with the powers that be not! Good day sir! :P
