Radia DM-6 Locking Up

I have a system with two RDD-DM6 integrated dimmers, and have been having a problem with one of them locking up, and leaving its channels at full intensity. Both dimmers are connected by Axlink to a NI-2000 master. When the dimmer locks up, the fix is to unplug Axlink, press the Reset button on the dimmer, and then plug Axlink back in. All dimmers are on the same AC phase.

Has anyone experienced this before? The only clue I have come up with is how the levels are reported in response to a DEVICE STATUS command in telnet. Here is what they are reporting (the trouble child is device 96):

device status 96
Device 96 AMX Corp.,RADIA MC ,v3.10 contains 1 Ports.
Port 1 - Channels:256 Levels:8
MaxStringLen=64 Types=8 bit MaxCommandLen=64 Types=8 bit
The following input channels are on:None
The following output channels are on:None
The following feedback channels are on:None
Level 1=127 Supported data types=UByte, SByte, UInt, SInt, ULong, SLong, Float, Double
Level 2=204 Supported data types=UByte, SByte, UInt, SInt, ULong, SLong, Float, Double
Level 3=204 Supported data types=UByte, SByte, UInt, SInt, ULong, SLong, Float, Double

Level 5=0 Supported data types=UByte, SByte, UInt, SInt, ULong, SLong, Float, Double
Level 6=0 Supported data types=UByte, SByte, UInt, SInt, ULong, SLong, Float, Double
Level 7=0 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 8=0 Supported data types=UByte,UInt

>device status 97
Device 97 AMX Corp.,RADIA MC ,v3.10 contains 1 Ports.
Port 1 - Channels:256 Levels:8
MaxStringLen=64 Types=8 bit MaxCommandLen=64 Types=8 bit
The following input channels are on:None
The following output channels are on:None
The following feedback channels are on:None
Level 1=204 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 2=127 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 3=178 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 4=127 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 5=127 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 6=127 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 7=0 Supported data types=UByte,UInt
Level 8=0 Supported data types=UByte,UInt

Shouldn't all of the levels be reporting as types UByte,Uint?

Thanks,

    Been there, done that.

    We went through the same problem. According to AMX the Axlink bus is not quite compatible between NetLinx/Axcess devices (!!); Radia dimmers being the prime example. We were able to get an AXB-EM232 from the Canadian distributor (at no cost) to act as a buffer between the two systems.
