NXC_ME

Hey guys,

Dealing with a NXC-ME, old unit to begin with, but found it in the warehouse yesterday and it seems to be password protected. the standard stuff...administrator and password or NetLinx didn't work....Is there such a thing as a back door password for the old stuff?

Thanks

I have one of those at home, and the only default passwords were on FTP. Telnet and NS didn't have a password. I don't think there was ever a backdoor, period. If you forgot the passwords, it had to be sent to AMX for a reset (which I presume you could still do).

I don't know if the latest firmware for the NXC-ME has it or not, but there is a command to reset the password in newer firmware for NI-xxxx.

I don't believe that feature is available for the old masters. I have an old ME-260 at home on my personal system and you can't put that firmware on it.
