Video Cam transmitter to WiFi?

Howdy,

anyone had good experience with some Video Cam to WiFi 2.4Ghz wireless transmitter? I am not looking into the usual Transmitter/Receivers, but for a WiFi "converter" so that I can convert a regular video camera with video/audio out to an IP camera. Any hints are highly appreciated.

Would be great if it can be used then say with the Surveillance Station (http://www.qnap.com/pro_application.asp?ap_id=70#ap02) on a Qnap NAS or any similar NAS system.

Thanks!

Why Wi-Fi? I would just go to wired which has wider bandwidth and is full duplex. For wired I use Axis servers but there are plenty of less expensive alternatives that work just fine.

Not allowed to use anything but WiFi. I couldn't find any wireless video server at Axis, they are all wired and almost as expensive as a new Axis 211W.
I may use a dedicated router though if bandwidth should be a problem.. need to convert only 4 cams to IP cameras.

Found this one that doesn't look too bad - anyone used this?

You may have bandwidth issues. Panasonic makes a line of network cameras that are WiFi capable, and they recommend not using more than 5 in an entire project due to bandwidth. Just one camera would probably be fine, though I imagine it might be a bit laggy.

I have used products from a company called Vivotek with good results. My project used the hard-wired version, but perhaps they offer a wireless product as well....
