Viewsonics 42" plasma

Hey anybody got protocol on a viewsonces N4200W-2.
Viewsonics is taking their time to get it to me (24 to 48 hours on an "expedited" request).
I've got a viewsoncs 232 document for the commercial displays, but when I send those commands over to the unit, it responds with "wrong command", and that responce is not in my protocol so I must be missing the boat somewhere.
I mean it's nice enough to tell me it's a wrong command - you would think it would be nice enough to tell me the right command...

I'm still looking for it - but I'll post it as sonn as I have it.
After a bunch of stuff with this plasma and on the phone with viewsonics it came down to the 232 port was for service mode, not control. THey were not going to give me any of the 232 service protocols for it. The regular control protocols didn't work
I can communicate with the set, and tried to send it a help and a couple of other things to get a menu listing back but to no avail.
I ended up using IR to control the set. - fortunately I don't need to change the inputs as the remote is a single source button type.
THe power was a toggle function as well but, I did notice that when I turn the set on with the IR remote, a couple of seconds later I got a ok$0D$0A from the 232 port. So I used that as my differentiator between on & off.
