NI 2000 and an Axcess Card Frame Help!!!

Hey everyone,

My customer has a Ni2000 and a Axcess Card Frame and its full of 232 cards. The ACF only has a CS card and no Enhanced Master (EM) card...How do I manipulate the devices that need to get connected to the individual 232 cards? I do see the individual cards in the online tree. I have already set the baud dip switches, and the jp1 jumper accordingly. I am unable to see any activity through 'Control a Device' in NS, but i do get a Tx light on the 232 card. Also, I have already tried the usual switching of Tx and Rx on the Phoenix to make sure of things there.
Is there something needed in the Ni to talk to the ACF? I'm just kinda lost at this point..

Help :-(
Thanks,
Matthew

If you see the cards online you are all set...
Tx led means something is being sent, you got the right connector?

    hey Yuri,

Yeah the right connector is there. I now have confirmation of signal all the way to the projector, but no dvice action..I put a 2 to 3 short on the DB9 and i get it returned back to me in control a device. But for some reason the projector a Mits XD450U doesn't want to play now...so off to troubleshooting some more...

Well, out of 16 cards, looks like only one of them is actually bad. Not too shabby i guess. The projector problem is solved. Anyone tried using a relay to actuate/control an extron vga switcher?

I think I'd never do that myself since I like getting the feedback. If you need an RS-232 card, I have one I can throw your way. I too use an Axcess frame on my personal system at home and have some extra cards I'm not using. PM me if need be.
