Netlinx Error

I just got done getting a new laptop setup that is running windows 7. I opened up my project file and was working away. Everything was fine until I tried to build the project. When I tried to build it it gave me the error that it can not find the C:\Program Files\Common Files\AMXShare\AXIs\NetLinx.axi. I opened up the directory and found that the file is there.

Is there a bug or something in the latest build of the software on the website? Because as it is right now I can't do anything meaningful without it being able to compile when it can't find a critical file that is actually right there.

I have:

Netlinx Studio 3.1.0.374
NetLinx AXI File 1.47
Cafe Duet 1.15.230
AMX USB LAN Driver Not Installed
NetLinx Compiler 2.5.2.20
Axcess Compiler 2.0.0.143

File ownership or Directory privs ?

I haven't gone to Windows 7 yet. Is there any chance the the file ownership or directory/file access priveleges are causing the problem?

  • - you need to have Administrator Rights to compile
    - verify if the directory paths are set correct in Settings/Preferences/NetLinx Compiler
