Editing touchpanel setup menu

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had ever been able to edit the setup menu on a modero touchpanel?

I was hoping to add some extra graphics and a custom service page specific to a job, instead of having a service page visible to the client.

Any help would be great.

  • Had a bit of looking around the computer and found all different res panel files in this directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AMXShare\G4SupportFiles\__system\pages

is it as easy as editing them and then doing a full download?

While you have a file loaded into TPD4 just go to -> file -> Open System Page_Template. Once open you can select a page or pop up to work with but since these files are locked down you'll need to copy the page or pop up and paste it into your project with a different name. Then modify at will and give the users a button to access this newly created page/pop up. You can always just copy parts and pieces of a system template page or pop up onto any other page of your own creation too.

And if you really want to go nuts, you can pretty much create your own setup screen entirely by assigning the buttons and address to port 0 ... the available setup functions will then appear in the pull-down under the channel.
