OK - just upgraded a lifesize system to a firmware that was like 4.7.11.something.
The lifesize stopped recognizing the first character of every command I sent.
I'd send "control remote down$0D"
it would respond back "ontrol remote down error 09"
I fixed that by adding a space in front of all the commands I send out.
The other thing is that all of the hangup commands failed, I couldn't hang up a call at all. Just got an error back.
Downgrading to 4.7.10.something fixed all the issues.
They are now lower in my book than even polycom.
