Power stability/power supply protection/networking

Starting a new thread about losing network connections where I think the problem is related to poor power in a large commercial office building. What I'd like to learn is what other folks experiences are with using un-interruptible power supplies in these sorts of situations -- brand capacity etc.

The situation we've been dealing with is an insurance company with 5 conference rooms, each on its own little network with nothing connected but Netgear blue metal box 5-port switches and Netgear blue metal box WAPs which service one each 8400 TP per room. So, they've been having periodic problems with the TPs losing connection and the guy who answers the calls tells them to unplug and replug the switches and the waps and to reboot the TPs and then everything works ok. It's not just one room, it's at least four of them having the problem.

So, the other day we went out there and went into one of the rooms and the TP appeared to be fine but had no connection. Couldn't see the WAP either with the TP or with my laptop. Unplugged and replugged the Wap and in a while the TP connected to it but couldn't see the master. So, cycled the switch and then the wap connected to the master and then the TP connected to the master.

It seems very likely to me that this is some sort of recurring power interruption issue -- momentary losses in power, deviations from standards in either frequency or voltage or whatever.

Is this the thing that a UPS should be able to solve? I would like to run the master, the switch and the Wap all off one UPS which would need about 350 to 500 va, I'd guess.
