AMX devices question

I want to use the NI-X000 device and I don’t quit sure what are the differences between the versions.
I have ni-2000, ni-3000 and a ni-3100.
I don’t need more then the ni-2000 Connections have. But is there any memory differences? What the choice between the versions depends on? Is it depends on the code program I am writing?
Is the ni-2000 Enough?
In addition, what is the firmware I need to these devices? Is there any differenced in the firmware between the versions?
Thanks for any help.

The x100 versions have more memory and a faster processor than the x000 versions, but unless you have a really big job, the older ones will be more than adequate. There are different firmwares, but they are the same version with the same features, the only difference is the target hardware.
