OT: outdoor mics?

I have a client that wishes to put a few mics in his outdoor nature preserve area in his backyard. The run will be approximately 250' from the mixer/preamp. I was considering using 18/4 shielded wire with a drain, and running 4 lines. At this point he wants two mics. Does anyone have any better/other recommendations on wiring types, methods, etc? This is my first time doing outdoor mics. Thanks in advance.
