NXR-ZGW-R4 zigbee gateway with firmware 1.15 will not accept Pro firmware 3.xx

The R4 is on now on V3 firmware.

But the old zigbee gateway (webserver display serial 00000000) will not load the 3.00 or 3.01 kit for pro zigbee. Send unit to AMX service centre?

For zigbee gateway upgrades, the unit is field upgradeable unless it meets both of the following conditions:


1.The unit has a serial # of all zeros in the Summary page of the Configuration Manager. Browse to the IP address of your gateway, log into the unit, and it will display the serial # on the first page that opens.
2.There is more than one zigbee gateway in the system that is displaying all zeros for the serial #.

If your zigbee gateways meet both of the above conditions, contact AMX Technical Support.

I don't know why having more than one would make a difference since you can always remove all but one from the network and upgrade one at a time.

Because the PAN ID is calculated from the serial number so identical serial numbers will produce identical PAN IDs which won't work.

It's been a while but we can no longer change the PAN ID like we could with the "non PRO" version. If not then the need to contact TS makes sense.
