X-10 Control

I need some help. I have NI-700 for my master and a AMX card cage as a slave with a X-10 card in it. The send_strings commands for On and Off and commands for bright and dim work ever so slowly. I did have a Lutron IR dimmer which recived commands IR through remote control IR transmit-recieve pyramids but I wanted thing neat. Also, in my program, I had things timed, so if I pressed 25% on my touch panel, the lights would come up that percentage and that button would be "locked" if pressed again. Same scenario for 50%, 75% and 100%.

Thanks for the help, Donald

I'm inclined to think that X-10 is just slow, period. But that card is also a dinosaur. You may be better off getting an X-10 (if you really must stay with X-10) computer interface and talking to it RS-232.

    Another question

Ok, so RS232 is the answer. Here's another question. I'm using the TW-523 X-10 box which has an 4-pin RJ-11 connection to the back of the AMX card cage. Because the .pdf file is over 1 meg, here's the link: ftp://ftp.x10.com/pub/manuals/technicalnote.pdf

What pins on the TW-523 go to what pins on the RS-232 on the NI-700? I understand that pins 2,3 and 5 are transmit, recieve and ground respectively on the RS-232.
