TPTransfer problem

udiudi Posts: 107
I have a problem with sending a TP4 file to the IPad via TPTransfer and I don’t so understand what the problem it presents to me.
The message I get on the TPTransfer is:
Starting transfer...
Open socket, ip: 192.168.1.117, port number: 10700
Transfer has started...
The target device for transfer can not be found. Please check that TPControl is running on the device, and that the IP settings/adapter has not been changed on your computer since the last time the device was discovered

What is the problem?

We've seen this recently especially with iPads that still have a 3x firmware.
It has been gotten through by closing the ipad app and TP TRANSFER, disconnecting the USB, waiting a minute, then connecting USB and re-running the TPC app and waiting for it to fully load and settle, THEN run TP TRANSFER again. The device often then shows up by itself. Sometimes we still have to manually enter the IP address.

    There is no USB connection,

anyway what's changed is probably the IP address of your iPad. Try using 'find devices' again to see if it will discover the iPad again. And make sure the TPC app is installed and running on the iPad. (not settings, but in the actual app)
