New Hitachi Projectors and serial control

Hi,
Have any of you guys had any problem with serial communication with newer models of Hitachi projectors? For the last few years I have been using the LAN for communication, but now we are swiching out old projectors in some old projects. Most use serial connection and not all have the chance to be swiched to LAN control.
I have tried out the CP-WX3014WN, CP-WX4014N and CP-WUX645N models, but no control over serial.
Baud rate and cables are correct, protocol something I have used for years, COMMUNICATION_TYPE is set to off.
I have contacted Hitachi in EU and gone over the check list with them but no go. Now waiting for the factory in Japan to open up again, next week, to get some answers.
