ENV VST-C switching to program mode

I have a client with 7 of the color viewstat tstats. Problem is that 4 out of the 7 seem to keep getting into program mode somehow because the cool set points jump up to 82 at 10PM.
I have an event in the code for a button they press when they leave that sets all of the heat and cool set points and when doing this I set the mode to hold mode and they should never be changed after that, unless someone changes the mode on the tstat itself and I'm pretty sure they're not doing that.
Has anyone here seen this happen with the color viewstats before? Right now I'm wondering if they're aren't briefly losing power and maybe that's how they're changing modes. Any ideas?
