Hi Everyone,
I am chasing something like D-Tools (http://www.d-tools.com) or Design Machine (http://www.simplyreliable.com) - can anyone recommend any other products to look at, or, tell me if you think either of these are any good?
I want to use it to streamline design etc, so that documentation can be easily made and maintained as well as containing all of the relevant data that, at times, may be overlooked otherwise.
A couple of my current concerns with these products are;
D-Tools
> Very expensive
> The trial doesn't give enough insight to the programs inner workings
> Seems a little outdated and clunky, although v6 may make it better
Design Machine
> Have to manually create database
> I have already crashed it a few times and have only just trialed it
> Not very user friendly
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Cameron

Based on what I saw at infocomm v6 will make it much better. I wish it would get here now, 5 takes forever to load if you don't have a SSD.
If you go the d-tools route be sure you establish guidelines for adding products/limit who can. I've just burned a ton of time cleaning out mis-entered crap.
