Missing Constants in SNAPI

I've just learnt the IR codes for a Panasonic Freeview box. In trying to stick to standards, I've assigned everything to the relevant SNAPI Channel, however there are some that I can't find and it seems to me that it may be a bit out of date with modern hardware.

Specifically, I can't find the red, green, blue, and yellow button channels - does anyone have any standards for these? As they now appear on a wide range of devices (freeview, cable/sattelite, Bluray to name a few) I'd have thought they should be included.

It may be useful to use this thread for other channels that are missing so they can be included in the future?

Actually, AMX doesn't (knowingly) troll this forum much at all. It is a better plan to contact Tech Support and hopefully it makes a blip on their radar. But thre are many examples of long-running flame threads that go unnoticed for months by AMX officials.

I've managed to read Tom's post three times and have no idea what you're talking about, Eric - LOL. Are you saying he's flaming? I don't see him mention AMX trolling - I'm completely lost to be honest.

Anyway, I don't use SNAPI, but I do use 31-35 for RGYB.

It could be both! :)

1. to fish by trailing a lure or baited hook from a moving boat
2. search, look <trolling for sponsors>; also: prowl

trawl

intransitive verb
1. to fish with a trawl
2. to make a search as if by trawling
noun
1. a large conical net dragged along the sea bottom in gathering fish or other marine life

Just notice a typo in my original post, I meant to say 31-34.

Yep. You're correct, there is not currently anything in SNAPI for those controls. Great idea though, the best bet is to get in touch with your local AMX rep and mention it.

From the SNAPI documentation:
Some devices may use custom channels for advanced functions. Channels 67-76 and 300-399 are reserved for modules to use for whatever functions they like.
With this in mind if you place any additional channel based interaction in these ranges it will ensure you maintain compliance.
