iPad2 > VPN > iTeleport?

Has anyone had issues with the VNC just not working? Everything works on my original iPad and I set up the client's iPad2 with the same settings and it seems to connect but he just gets a black screen that doesn't wake. I tried his iPad2 on another account while at his house and the same thing happens while mine worked fine. We removed the iTeleport app and re-installed and still no joy and all his settings are identical to what I'm running. Any thoughts?
