DVX-2100HD-SP keeps rebooting after firmware upgrade

So I upgraded the master to 4.1.373, the X101 device to 1.30.8, and I left the switcher code as 1.4.19 as no firmware update was available. Now, it reboots after 7 minutes consistently while the program is running. I updated the firmware as this unit was having issues displaying from various input sources. It had previously worked before. One input stopped displaying and then another went magenta and now doesn't display. Perhaps I just have a unit that has become defective?

Sounds like the firmware load was corrupted. I would disable the program just to help stabilize everything, then reload all the firmwares (maybe download a fresh copy just in case). Once it's reloaded, re-enable the program, or perhaps re-load the program as well. Then see if it still is rebooting.

I'm not sure how similar the firmware update is on that unit to the DGX, but the chassis firmware on the DGX can take 45 min. to an hour to complete as it loads itself to all the cards, etc. Make sure you don't interrupt the process if you have those kind of load times.

I'm going to give this a shot. I didn't realize that the firmware might take this long. It did say that the system was booting for 10 minutes after I upgraded the master's firmware. I figured this was due to the program being disabled by the dipswitch. But if what you say is true, I probably interrupted the process. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll update this thread after reloading the firmware (patiently).
