Lectrosinics DM84 Protocol Manual

I have to write a program for an existing room in which there is an Lectrosonics DM84.
I cannot find the Protocol Manual anywhere, does anyone happen to have one?

Thank you in advance.

One minute in GOOGLE finds pages of references, as well as showing that the company has far more support resources in a dealer area as well as an AMX module.
Here's a link to a lot of protocol manuals. The unit uses the ASPEN protocol, and which version will depend on your unit, probably the firmware level.

    Here's the Support HOME PAGE.

I bet if you talked to the company they could tell you far more.
  • Thank you.

I searched the http://www.lectrosonics.com/DM-Series/dm84.html page and found no reference to aspen.
How is the connection between aspen and dm series made?

I guess you must have called the company to ask how to control a dm84.
I downloaded the AMX module but it only references the dm1624, also AMX InConcert Database does not reference the dm84. I have found no connection between aspen and dm series.

I have found "dm_series_ref_man.pdf", but again there is no reference to the dm84.

    Thanks again.

Various documents and reviews seem to indicate that ASPEN is the communication language for the company products, much like BCS is for Autopatch. I did not call the company, but you might.
  • Thanks again, I would not have connected aspen to the dm84 without your help.

I will just set the code to use both to call presets and control the levels; comment out one at a time and test.

This is in the tech description for the DM84: "A complete library and explanation of the commands and the command structure is available in the DM84 Reference Manual."

But there is no such manual in the download section for the public.
But again googling for "DM84 Reference Manual" found lots of expired items, and one BINGO.

    See page 44.

When in doubt, CALL THE COMPANY, don't just poke at it.
