NXV-300 connection issues

I have several classrooms where the nxv-300 vtp interface loses connection and the only way to re-establish is to reset it (disconnect/re-connect). There have even been a couple of instances where the status light is blinking like normal, but user still cannot connect until it is reset.
Seems to mostly happening on newer installs of the nxv-300. Older ones seem to be working fine.
Any troubleshooteing suggestions would be greatly appreicated.

    Check to ensure you are running the most current version of firmware for the unit. Additionally, if you are not using the NDP beacon, some users report better results with that turned OFF.
