Visio Stencils for AMX Products?

TurnipTruckTurnipTruck Junior MemberPosts: 1,485
Greetings,

Does anyone have any Visio stencils for AMX products?

Also, does anyone know of any good sources for general A/V integration stencils?

How about an AutoCAD to Visio convertor?

Thanks!

I believe Visio has the ability to import CAD drawings and I know that there are Visio stencils for AMX because I have used them. I don't recall if I found the stencils on the AMX website or if I got them through D-Tools, but I know they exist. If you can't find them on the website, I'll try to find a copy of them somewhere. Not sure on the general AV stencils, but you could try the RackTools addon from the Middle Atlantic. I think they include some generic stencils with the addon.

    Hi TurnipTruck,

Have you checked out the Visio Stencils link under Tech Center on the AMX web site?

Those stencils were pretty old and didn't very well reflect the current product line. I'd bet they simply took them down.

The ACAD drawings can be found here: http://amx.com/techcenter/drawings.asp
A quick search suggests visio can import these, and you can even make them editable visio objects.

    Can't open the link.

It was way too old

Any updated visio stencil for AMX and Harman Products?

    Thanks in advance.

    Two resources:
    1) https://trade.amx.com/legacy/techcenter/drawings.asp
    2) Open the CD261 practical exam (HCCP-D) and there is a ZIP of all of them in the exam RESOURCES block.
