No lights on front panel of BLU-100 (except power)

I was programming on a BLU-100 provided by another vendor that had no front panel lights illuminated except for power. Normally, when I am connected to the device, Com, Stat, and Power are all continuously illuminated, and when signal is passing the input and outputs lights flicker accordingly.

In addition--and this may or may not be related--I am having trouble reaching this processor across a VPN, which I have been able to do with hundreds of other BLU-100s in exactly the same way.

Has anyone encountered issues related to networking that coincided with a failure to have front panel lights illuminated?
