push button volume control

Ok, so I've got this 17 inch touch screen and my customer wants to use it as the control panel for a multi blu-80 install. There seems to be some issues with sliding your finger to move a fader. At times it is difficult to grab the trolley and if your finger \"skips\" on the screen, it will disconnect from the trolley.

Thus the solution seems to be assigning many buttons to the fader and having each button's on state be a different value. This works great except, if you switch off a button, then no value is assigned to the fader and it will goto -inf. What is even worse, if I assign a button to a value of -inf and I turn it off hte fader goes to +10.

I tried to radio button link the buttons, but I am unable to.

I really didn't want to make a whole bunch of presets as it is not an elegant solution. Another kludge would be to use a router and have many different fixed gain controls, but again not elegant.

Any ideas.

In the properties window, you can turn on the \"Use Stepping\" feature. When this is on, you can tap the top or bottom of a fader to bump the fader up or down. You can't change the size of the steps, but it does work.

You could also try enabling \"Optimise for Tablet PC\" in the General tab of the Application Preferences.

As usual, Graham's advice is better. Turning on \"Optimize for Tablet PC\" will make London Architect ignore rapid changes in the mouse up/down state. That's likely to fix your problem.
