9088ii connection issue

I recently took over a system with 7 9088iis and have rewritten the programming and am ready to load but the software gives me the error that the device is set to mic level and my design is set to line level. If I change my design to mic, I connect and all is well(ish), but I don't want mic level...I want line level. How does one go about making this change? Thank you for your help.

You don't. The device has mic cards loaded into it., so you must correctly set the software to reflect that. If you're running a line level signal into the device, set the gain to 0dB.

  • Thanks for the help. Is there any way to swap the cards or are they factory loaded? And by \"set the gain\" I assume you mean the input gain within the software?

It is possible to swap cards, quite easily. But the point is that you don't have to.

The description \"mic card\" can be a bit confusing. In fact the mic card should be regarded as a \"universal card\" that will accomodate Mic or Line level (and anything inbetween). The line cards obviously are restricted to line level only.
