Line level shifter for 9088 original (non ii)

Can I have some help on this one please?

Will I need to place a line level shifter between my HTPC with its 8 unbalanced audio outputs - and my 9088 with its 8 balanced inputs?

Thanks

What the heck is a \"line level shifter\"?

So, the answer is NO. You wire from the ground of your unbalanced to the soundweb ground. You wire from the positive of your unbalanced to the soundweb positive. You place a jumper wire between the soundweb ground and the soundweb negative.

    Thanks Dan.

That's good news (saves me money).

I was referring to a unit such as the Aphex 228 or Ebtech LL S8.

Oh, that. Don't bother. However, let me remind you that you place a jumper wire between the soundweb ground and the soundweb negative.

Not optional. Not just for fun. Play around with it and you'll hear why.

For anyone who is wondering... no, Andrew did not post from the future. The server clock got gakked up and made it look like he posted next week. It's been fixed.
