3088 always boots muted

When my 3088 (with nothing connected to remote terminals) starts up, it is muted. After I connect the computer and go online, it will come on after I click the mute all button on my virtual control panel and click again to unmute it.

As soon as I go offline, the unit mutes.

I tried saving a preset of the normal state. Didn't make a difference. Tried putting a parameter preset drop-down menu on the control panel. The panel is in the normal condition, not muted. I say store preset. If I recall the preset, all-mute is on.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA, Dan

First, try this: connect to the device and before doing anything else, adjust one of the analog output faders. If adjusting one of the outputs makes all of the audio come back, then it's exactly the same problem I had with a 9088 about 6 years ago. Unfortunately, I have no memory of how we fixed that one. I'll keep thinking.

I'd say you should email the design file to a BSS tech support geek.

Tried that. Didn't bring the audio back, nor did adjusting a fader on my virtual control panel.

It's a toggling thing. Every other boot, the unit comes up unmuted. The virtual control panel has an all-mute button that toggles. When the panel is opened it shows un-muted. When it's muted and unmuted again, the audio comes back. Prime suspect.

I tried deleting the button, but it acted the same. I've forgotten how to get to where you set the function of the button; properties gives me only the appearance of the button.

    try recompiling the unit.

delete and redraw a line or something.

If not i would say there is something funny in the design. Are you recalling presets or parameter preset to do this muting, or are they a linked group of mute buttons?

You are welcome to PM me or lookup my email and send me the design file if you want me to give it the once over....

    Cheers
