BLU Link over fiber - $75 media converter

MicronNetworking sells a gigbit media converter made by Planet Networking & Communication for $75. According to one of our distributors, this thing works great. Has anyone else used it?

I'd be very interested in any feedback anyone has about this product.

Thanks,

  • Hi Dan, it looks very similar to this one:

Also able to be placed in a modular frame for multiple units. Our pricing would be the equivelant of $200 US.

    Used with no problems.

    Cheers

  • I know I'm reviving a very old thread here, but has anybody used the Planet Networking 60km unit with either Cobranet or BluLink? I have a plant that is about 14 miles away from the main building that I would like to incorporate into the system if possible. I know that the latency with cobranet may be an issue that will need to be further researched.

If anyone has any thoughts on this or may have a better solution I'm all ears.
