Issues with Getting Designer to Install

Guys,

I am trying to install designer on a different machine and it unpacks up to 99% and then disappears into oblivion and nothing happens!
Any ideas
It is the current version 1.50 from the Download page
I am stumped a little

Thanks in Advance

There's always a chance that you got a bad download and the installation file is corrupt. Downloading it again may fix it. However, you're probably just not being patient enough. With newer versions of Windows, it's not unusual for the installer to seem to stop for 15+ minutes. Nobody knows for sure why this happens or what it's doing during that time, but if you just wait long enough, it does eventually finish.

Alternately, if you have another computer that already has Soundweb Designer installed, you can just copy the C:\\Program Files\\BSS Audio\\ folder from one computer to another. You will need to manually create a shortcut on your desktop and/or start menu, but the software will run just fine.

  • I've seen similar issues on occasion and whilst difficult to pin point exactly, I am normally able to fix it by going through the task bar and shutting down every other piece of software that's running, even background tasks etc.
I don't normally have the patience to do this one by one to help find the culprit so I just shut everything else down in one hit and it usually works.
