London Architect in VMWare on Mac?

Has anyone had any luck getting London Architect to connect to a networked device by running it on Windows XP on VMWare Fusion on Mac OS X?

I've heard of people using Parallels, but I'm a VMWare user, and don't seem to be having any luck seeing networked devices.

Any suggestions?

  • I routinely run London Architect while in VMWare (V2.06 - I downgraded from V3 because of issues with V3). I am running XP Pro.
The VMware network settings are \"Bridged\".
  • Thanks, lnefzger. My network sharing was set to NAT. Bridge networking works great. Cheers!

Everyone please note that I am NOT making a joke about the fact that it took the Mac guys almost 10 weeks to get the network working.

Really. I'm not saying a word.

I gotta go check the blender.

Dan, I'm not sure why you're trying to start a platform flame war on a BSS Audio forum. But for the record, what we're discussing is not network settings for Mac OS, but rather the network settings for the Windows XP virtual machine running inside VMWare Fusion. Interfacing a virtualized OS inside another OS adds a whole extra layer of networking issues to be dealt with.
