Import map window into exisiting design....

Can this be done? I have a convention center full of exisiting, up and running BSS gear. There is a new room to be constructed and I am doing some preliminary design work on a laptop. Is there a way to move the laptop designed stuff over to the desktop computer that is currently running my rig or will I need to recreate all of this? It would be cool to be able to load the design into the boxes, then get those on the network and have the designs go from the box to the main computer. I have a feeling it can't be done but I am curious now....

Yes, everything you described would be really cool. No, none of it is actually possible.

It is possible to have two copies of Designer running and copy/paste between them. It's not perfect because you won't get parameter settings, etc., but it's better than doing it from memory.

HBGCC or somewhere else? Do you already have the DSP devices for the new room?

Hey Dan, yep at the HBGCC. It was more of a curiosity to see if it were possible. I have all the actual gear to do it and I am already programming for the new room, I was just in propellerhead beanie mode with my curiosity.

I save all of the current design files on the actual machines running he rig, 2 drives in each, a flash drive and on a laptop. I decided just to to do a \"save as\" on the laptop and when the time comes I'll sling it all over via the flash drive, update everything to the new current design file and it'll be good. It'll be my usual save/archive scheme...just in reverse.

Thanks for getting back to me on this one. Now if I could just talk management into getting the new London stuff since the Green is going away...like that is gonna happen.

Green isn't going away, it's gone away. Elvis has left the building.
