Blu-10 Page flips

With the old jellyfish, you could add a Device Configuration Preset or a parameter preset with a page flip. Can this be done with the Blu-10?

  • Dan, is there another way? Using logic and the state variable of the page in the design tree?
That feature was really handy, (on the jellyfish) can't believe there is no way!
Very happy to see how a preset can be triggered on startup, that solves part of my problem.
  • One button, one function. There's no way to trigger a BLU-10 page flip other than touching the screen which means the only possible work around involves a robotic finger.

  • While I understand that this is the case, I think it is incredibly short-sighted that that they did this.

With Device Presets, it's incredibly easy to create a situation where the stuff assigned to a Blu-10 page simply doesn't exist in a given configuration, leaving it up to the user to figure out why, for example, the \"master volume\" control doesn't work becuase somebody forgot to set it to \"wedding mode\"

I understand that memory space may be at premium on the device, but ultimately, if there's a 100 page limit on the Blu-10, I would think it should be up to the system designer to figure out if 100 pages in one configuration preset is appropriate or 50 pages each in 2 device configurations is a better configuration. Even if the device configuration overhead is 5 pages worth, 45x2 is far more useful (at least in some configurations) than 100x1. and as a designer, there's places where 45x2 or 28x3 would be tremendously useful, much more than 100x1. So consider this a vote to add that functionality.

    Thanks for your input.
