Using Blu-10 to adjust delay time

I am using a Blu-10 and would like to adjust delay times with it but I am running into an issue with it adjusting the delay times in 18ms increments .
Is there any way to get it to adjust in smaller increments like 1ms at a time?

  • This might not give you what you are looking for, but if you assign the delay component from a crossover to the Blu-10, rather than a standalone delay component, it looks like it gives you about a .5ms resolution, which should be precise enough for most needs.

If you need to change several delays, you can create a link between them, so changing the control will change them all.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the Blu-10 using fixed percentage steps for controls, and the relative range available for a crossover delay being thus that much less. (the max delay for a delay component is 2720ms, max range for delay in the crossover component is 80. 2720/80=34, and 18.125/.531=34, so the ration is the same, which I think means I'm right.) If you need the greater range of the delay element, the 18ms step size is probably more or less trivial; however, if you need both the range and the resolution, using the standalone as a \"coarse\" setting and the crossover as a \"fine\" setting could work, although it feels rather kludgy.

Too bad subranging doesn't work for Blu-10 controls, that would probably solve your problem much more easily.
