varicurve / omnidrive restore factory settings

Hi,

I've just acquired a used FCS-926 varicurve & FDS-355 omnidrive, and wish to erase all their existing data and restore them to their original factory settings. How do I do this?

    Hi Chris, on the 355 press Mute 1, Mute 2 & Recall while booting up unit. Then choose delete user data which resets the unit back to factory defaults.
    As far as I can recall (it's been some years since I last looked at a Varicurve system) or find out, there is no button push to reset a 926/920- however, you could look at removing the internal battery while the unit is powered off. That would cause all stored memory items to be deleted....

    Thanks for the information.

    Given the age of the units, I should probably replace their batteries anyway, so this will ultimately achieve what I need. Once I have done this, I'll do a Sysex memory dump of the \"empty\" Varicurve, so that way it can easily be erased in the future by simply sending it the \"empty\" dump.

    I'll make this dump available to other users too.
